Art and Le Petit Prince

One of the final projects in my French 3 class was to write another chapter in the story we read, The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince). Students had to write about a planet that the prince visits, and the person(s) he meets on that planet. Each encounter had to involve a conversation, and some sort of moral the prince learned. Each of the students did a fabulous job, and tackled some very large themes. I was so proud.

A young princess waits for her "perfect" prince to
come find her but won't go looking for him.

Two identical twins constantly fight over who is
better looking. Meanwhile their work never gets done.

An old woman neglects her own needs to take care of
people who may or may not show up on her planet someday.

A rooster works hard at his job hoping to receive a
"prize" but not knowing what it is.

A dinosaur whose family was killed goes on a
killing spree and kills everything on his planet,
but he doesn't feel any better.

The PP learns that stealing still doesn't get you what you
want, because you get caught and end up in jail!

The PP helps a man realize the value of face-to-face friendship,
and that it's important to share life off the internet too.

A man on an amusing planet realizes it's only
fun if he can share it with someone.

An old widow woman refuses to leave her house
 for fear she'll die. The PP teaches her that
her planet is a place to love, not to fear.

A business-oriented man works a job he hates to make
 money, because the things he loves to do don't pay well.

A man hoards mementos of his lost cat,
hoping she'll return someday.

A man chooses to sleep all day instead of putting
in the effort to work, and his planet suffers for it.

A man fears death because he has no one to love.

A man who dreams of being a famous pitcher refuses
to practice and makes excuses because he is lazy.

On a candy-covered planet a fat man eats
and eats, convinced that more is more
when it comes to good things.

A gorilla protects his property from everyone,
but no one because he is alone on his planet.

A king crab teaches the PP that family
is made from friendship and faithfulness.

So cool! It was a great project.
